What is the Power Card?

The Power Card is a very unique mailing piece.  While at first glance it appears to me no more than a postcard with 5 homes, an extremely brief description of the properties, an agent's photo along with their phone number.  The real potential of the power card is realized once you understand the collaborative nature of the card and who exactly receives it.  The Power Card is both a unique sphere prospecting tool as well as an awesome listing tool that is (as far as we know) exclusive to The Champlin Park office..

Each issue of the Power Card is the same as far as the five properties being featured on the card.  The difference in each issue is the Agent Photo and their phone number.

The 5 properties are submitted by Champlin Park agents from our current active inventory..
VERY IMPORTANT
At this time the Power Card is only to be mailed to an agents sphere of influence.   It is NOT to be sent as a geographical or farm mailing,  passed out at open houses or given to the general public in any way!
This may change in the future, but only after ALL the Power Card participants amend the guidelines by a unanimous affirmative vote.
Agents, who do not have active listings of their own, are able to utilize other agents listings, thus creating a unique point of contact with their sphere.  The card DOES NOT represent that these listings are the listings of the agent featured on the card, but rather asks the question:  "Do you know a buyer for these homes?"

Can I mail the Power Card to my farm?

The Power Card is to mailed only to your personal sphere of influence.  It is not to be mailed geographically to a neighborhood or a "farm".  The Power Card contains listings that were contributed by other Champlin Park agents.  We ask that you respect their opportunity to market their listings to the geographic area that they choose.  If you're looking to mail to your farm consider sending an area stat card, List Sold Cards, Open House invitations or some other appropriate card.

Who's involved in the creation of the Power Card?

The Power Card represents the collaborative effort of several individuals.  In addition to the Champlin Park listing agents who contribute their listings to the card we have a few other individuals who play a role in each successful issue:

Adam Bauermeister

Adam is the primary point person for the production of the Power Card.  Adams responsibilities include:

Deciding which five properties will grace the Power Card.
     Writing the final property descriptions.
Creating both sides of the card template.
Working with the printer to ensure the correct quantities.
Collecting and passing on the agent photo and contact data.
Submitting the final quantity numbers through to Beryl.
Sending the "Card Key" information onto Paul.

Paul Phillippi  (Web Master & Consultant)
Paul's responsibility includes:
Keeping the Power Card area of champlinpark.com/offstage
current as the printer accesses this info to produce the card.
Working with Adam to create each "Card Key" on our site.
Purchasing the thousands of postage stamps necessary for
       each issue of the card.
Work with Beryl and accounting to ensure proper billing.

Beryl Kiphuth (OA) & Office Staff

In addition to working with Paul to ensure accurate accounting and invoicing of the card.

Beryl also co-ordinates the distribution of the card and postage to the agents.

Our office staff is also available during the post production phase to adhere labels and postage.

Will the staff adhere my labels and postage?

Our Champlin Park staff would be more than willing to adhere the labels and postage to your cards.  As you can imagine with several agents asking our staff to assist in this step, it can get quite hectic at the front desk.  To insure order please follow these suggestions:

Make sure your cards and labels and postage 'stay together'. Perhaps place all your 'pieces' in a large brown envelope.

Be patient.  Understand that there may be more than one agent requesting Power Card assistance from our staff.  They take the cards on a first come first served basis.

Standard office tasks are a priority.  The Power Card task falls to the bottom of the list.  Typically the evening and weekend staff will have more time to devote to the Power Card.

What's the minimum number of Power Cards I can order?

No fewer than 50 Power Cards per agent per issue.

Do I need to mail the Power Card every month?
While it's not required that you mail the Power Card each month, the card is set up on an "opt out" system.  The "Opt Out" system works as follows:  Once you order your initial set of Power Cards, this becomes your base order.  Then the following month we will assume that unless you tell us otherwise, you want the same base order that you had the prior month.  If you do not desire the card, or if you need to change the quantity or any other personal information, simply notify us prior to the deadline.

We will communicate the upcoming deadline of the new card more than once.  This communication will be done both through voice mail and e-mail.  We will also have a hardcopy of "The List" posted.

Remember: If you desire the same quantity of cards for each issue, you do not need to do anything.  You only need to contact us if you want to change something.

     Your Phone Number
The Quantity you'd like to order.

Can I personalize the message on the back of the Power Card?

No.  The back of the card is fixed as part of the standard template that is set up for the entire run of the card.  To change that for each individual agent would add substantially to the cost to the card, not to mention adding a new printing variable.

Can I show a potential seller the list of agents who mail the Power Card?

"The List" is published here on our offstage area as part of the production process of the Power Card.  We ask that you do not share the detailed list with anyone outside the office.  However we do encourage you to share the total number of cards that were sent out.  This number can be found at the top of "The List" and on the "Card Key Page".

How do I have a home featured on the Power Card?

The selection process for the homes featured on the Power Card is a combination of several factors including:
Featuring properties that demonstrate a variety of areas, price ranges and styles.
Those who respond first when Adam sends out the request for Power Card properties
Agents who have not had a property on the previous card.
Agents who regularly participate in sending out the Power Card.

If you would like to submit a home, please contact Adam Bauermeister:

  Adam's e-mail is: adambauermeister@edinarealty.com
  Adam's Phone is: 763-569-5631

Why is the Power Card missing the "not a solicitation of listing" disclaimer?

The disclaimer: "If your home is currently listed, please disregard as this is not an attempt to solicit another brokers listing."  is not on the card as we are not looking for listings, we are looking for buyers.  "Do you know a Buyer for these Homes?"  is prominently displayed at the top of each Power Card.  If the card were to include a blank spot with the wording "Your Home Here", then we would be required to add the disclaimer.

Besides, this is a sphere mailing, NOT intended for geographic farming.  If you are contacting your sphere on a regular basis, you should know who might be on the market with another company.

How do I know which homes are featured on the Power Card?

So you send out your Power Card to your sphere.  Two days later you get a call (or better yet: you're calling through your sphere.)   And the person asks a specific question about one of the homes featured on the card.  Because it's not your listing, you don't have the answer!  Not to worry, every issue of the Power Card will feature the corresponding house information here on our offstage area.  From the Power Card main menu, click on "The Card Key"

How can I user the Power Card as a listing tool?

Take the time to show the seller an actual Power Card.  Perhaps print out this photo* showing how the card features the same properties which are mailed into many different agents spheres of influence.

Explain to sellers that this type of Cross Marketing, into other agents sphere of influence, is extremely unique.  This level of camaraderie at The Champlin Park office is as unique as this powerful marketing tool.  This is yet another example of our commitment to full service.

  * Note:  To print this photo, place your pointer on the photo and "Right Click" your mouse.  This will bring up a pop-up menu.  Select "Print Picture" from this menu.  After printing, be sure to cut off the bottom of the page as it contains the offstage web address.  We prefer to keep our offstage area private.
