What Next ?

Congratulations!  Together, we’ve made the decision to take the next step, and begin your real estate career here at the Champlin Park office of Edina Realty.  We are truly excited for you and look forward to giving you guidance and support as you embark on this new chapter of your life.  That said, you’re probably wondering: “What Next?”.  Let’s answer that question right now!  Here is where we would encourage you to focus your time over the next few weeks:

PAPERWORK, OFFICE TOUR and INTRODUCTIONS

One of the first steps is to tackle all of the paperwork, order business cards, open house signs and other materials.  Fortunately you will have Beryl’s expert assistance to guide you through this small jungle.  Beryl will also give you a tour of our office, pointing out various resources along with introducing you to our fantastic staff!   This step will take about an hour and we ask that you contact Beryl (763-569-5607) to set up a time that works for both of you.  The paperwork and office orientations usually take a couple of sessions to complete.

ACTIVATE YOUR LICENSE WITH THE MN DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE

The Minnesota Department of Commerce now allows our new sales associate to activate their own real estate license.  Actually, by bringing your paperwork down to the Commerce Department you will be obtaining a temporary permit.  Your actual license will follow in about 4-8 weeks.  Beryl will have all the information you’ll need to take this next important step.

SHOW UP!

Here at the Champlin Park office, we have several weekly workshops, meetings and events.  While each of these events may have a different focus, the common denominator is your success!   I have attached a current snapshot of these weekly Champlin Park events.  You are encouraged to SHOW UP!

YOUR FIRST OFFICIAL TUESDAY BUSINESS MEETING

The Tuesday Business Meeting is the cornerstone of our weekly meetings and workshops.  At your first ‘official’ Tuesday meeting we will take a couple minutes to introduce you to ‘the team’.  Rest assured that all the new faces and names you’ll learn over the next several weeks will soon be part of your daily success!

OPEN HOUSES

Open Houses are a key component in building your business.  You will learn more about the whole open house process as you attend Edina U and other training sessions.  That said, you should hold your first open house as soon as possible.  If you’re not yet comfortable conducting an open on your own, we would encourage you to “shadow” one of our experienced agents.  As you begin to build your inner-office relationships, you’ll find that you will have many opportunities to ‘learn from the pros.’  Be sure to check with Nicci Brown (ER Mortgage) for open house materials that she can supply!

CHAMPLIN CHAT DVD’s

Hear for yourself how some of our Champlin Park agents have built their successful real estate businesses!  Each of the Champlin Chat DVD’s feature a different Champlin Park agent, sharing insights into their success.  These agents are all at the level of President’s Circle or above!  See Paul Phillippi or Jeff Shuman to ‘check out’ one of these awesome DVD’s!   (Conference Rm 1’s PC has a DVD player.)
