Why Preview?
   
  Market Knowledge!  In addition to boosting your confidence, previewing properties can give you an excellent perspective of the market.
   
What Should I Preview?
   
  Preview for your Open House
  Knowing about other homes in the area and price range will help your ability to assist buyers that you meet at an open house.
   
  Preview for a Buyer
  It is extremely exciting to call one of your active buyers and say:  " I have just been through your next home!  Would you be available this evening, I'll meet you there!"
   
  Preview for Active or Future Listings
  First hand knowledge about competing properties will give you pricing confidence!
 

For those of you new to real estate, here's help in setting up previews:
 

TO SET UP PREVIEWS

   1)  Choose the properties you want to see.

   2)  Using your map book, put them in showing order

   3) Call the appointment line listed to schedule your previews
 

DIALOG FOR SETTING UP PREVIEWS:

This is (your name) of Edina Realty.  I would like to set up a preview for the property at (address).  I would like to preview that property on (day/date – Example: Wednesday, November 15) between (time – Example: between 1 and 2).  You must give out our main front desk number: (763) 566-5770.  You will then receive a confirmation on your voice mail
 

WHEN GOING INTO HOMES:

Be sure to knock first and/or ring the door bell.  If no answer, open the door and holler, Hello, Edina Realty

Remove shoes, whether the seller requests it or not.  Walk thru the home. 

If the seller happens to be home make as few comments as possible.

Be sure to leave your business card at the property.  It's a nice touch to write “thank you” on the back of the card as well as the date and time.
