Front Desk Smoothies

 
Our Champlin Park staff is wonderful and they are always striving to do a better job.  With over 80 agents it sometimes is overwhelming.  At a recent staff meeting, we asked:  "What could the agents do (or not do) that would help things run smoother.  Here's what they had to say:

  When inspections are done on a property, let Linda know so she can mark the property pending in the MLS in a timely fashion.
   
  Please respond to voicemails left by staff.
   
  If there are incoming faxes waiting to be picked up, please give them to the front desk.  Do NOT put them in the agents mailboxes as we need to call the agent to let them know that they've received a fax.  Also leaving them in a pile on the counter can get them intermixed.
   
  If you are not in the office PLEASE forward your phone to your voice mail.  This saves a lot of time when we send a call through to your voicemail.  If you don't have your phone forwarded, we need to wait 3-4 rings until it connects.
   
  Try to keep the front desk updated on the status of your listings.  There will be less confusion for sellers:  ("Oh, my house sold last night!?") as well as the agents who are calling to set up showings.
   
  We have an in/out board --- USE IT!  It really does help the front desk be more efficient with callers and walk-in traffic.

"Know that we are not perfect and mistakes will be made.  Working for 90 “individuals” as we do can be challenging.  We do the best we can."
